Hours:
Call at least 24 hours in advance to arrange a mutually convenient time for your visit. We have field trips and other commitments at various times of the day and may not be able to help you if you just "buzz on in".
Walk-About Acres is a family-owned farm with something exciting to offer children and adults from 1-100. We love to tell about our many animals from our colorful, show-off peacocks to our Missouri mule foot pig Jacqueline, who likes a good ear scratching. We also have:
- Our Mulefoot pig, Jacqueline. These are her six babies after their mud bath.
- Auracana chickens which lay green shelled eggs, also called the Easter Egg chicken.
- Our Pilgrim Geese, Donald and Daisy.
- Our heritage turkeys: a pair of Narganset, a wild hen, and a male Black Spanish.
- Let's not forget our goats.
- We also have an observation hive in Papa's Store to see honey bees working behind glass.
We offer you an on-farm experience you may never forget. We have groups from school children to senior citizens visit our farm and lots of them return for second and third visits.
